Fond Memories and Distant Recollections

There will ultimately come a day during the year when your spouse or children demand your time around the home rather than give approval to beat a path to the camp. It happens to me all too frequently; more so in the last few years since my bride and I have had our children.

Remembering that it is my lady that supports the countless expense approvals for my new high-performance duck boat, the leaky camping trailer, the state-of-the art infra-red trail cameras, high-tech GPS contraptions, the guns, the bows, the ammo, the annual lease payment, and not to mention the outrageous price of gas these days, I have to surrender all the frustration that comes with having to face the fact: I'm staying home this next time.

If you are like me, take comfort in reading some of the myriad of articles on the web or in hard print written by the many outdoors enthusiasts before you who had the talent and desire to write about their own outdoor adventures, experiences and reflections. This page will hopefully add such selections from our own members and others who may feel compelled to deliver such bounty for .
